Artist talk with Czech architect Zdeněk Hölzel

On Thursday, April 27 you are most welcome to the Artist talk with Czech architect Zdeněk Hölzel at the exhibition Forecast and Fantasy, in the Estonian Museum of Architecture.

Zdeněk Hölzel (1947) studied architecture at the Technical University (CVUT) and Art Academy in Prague. Until 1989, he worked in Prague Project Office. In this period, he published non-official translations of works by Charles Jencks, Robert Venturi, and many articles. In 1990, he worked for a short period in Australia. Since 1990, Hölzel has been a partner and leading architect in AHK architekti. Their work includes residential quarters and office buildings, which are mainly located in Prague. The exhibition Forecast and Fantasy displays a collaborative work by Zdeněk Hölzel and Jan Kerel from 1982, titled JOTRS, an ironic project of a machine producing prefabricated concrete details.

The conversation in English will be led by Míša Janečková (Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, Prague) and Andres Kurg (Estonian Academy of Arts).

The exhibition is open until April 30, the Estonian Museum of Architecture is open from Tuesday to Sunday 11-18 hours.
