Educational programs

One goal of Estonian museums is to be an educational institution that offers an emotional experience. In the case of the Museum of Estonian Architecture, this means acquainting visitors with the heritage created in architecture and the fields associated with it (interior architecture, landscape architecture, etc.) by way of various programmes. The constructed environment surrounds us almost everywhere; how we understand it and what we see depends greatly on what we know about it. The future of our architectural heritage depends considerably on the attitude of each member of society. The Museum’s educational programmes are based upon our rich model collection and other illustrative materials; in addition, outdoor learning methods are used. The neighbouring Rotermann Quarter, which unites history and a bold contemporary concept of architecture, offers the best opportunities for such study.
