When I’m not thinking about buildings…
Exhibition When I am not thinking about buildings… presents the creative work of local architects that extends beyond everyday architecture and design practice. While an architect’s daily work is tied to creating spaces, calculating volumes and preparing budgets, as an artist they allow themselves the freedom to look beyond buildings.
The other side of the architect emerges – the creative thinker and artist – whose works form part of the narrative of visual art. On display are landscapes and cityscapes, portraits, architectonic compositions, abstract compositions, photography, and even poetry.
The exhibition features works by Johann Wilhelm Krause, Vilen Künnapu, Alar Kotli, Edgar Johan Kuusik, Aet Ader, Karl Burman, Ott Kadarik, Toomas Rein, Ivi-Els Schneider, Sille Pihlak, Valve Pormeister, Erika Nõva, Ignar Fjuk, Leonhard Lapin, Aleksandr Wladowsky, Herbert Johanson, Indrek Mikk, Loreida Hein, Ülevi Eljand, Andres Alver, Lauri Eltermaa, Liisi Eesmaa, Ilmar Torn.
